Story
As some of you know it’s been a while since I’ve done any fundraising so let’s get going again! This year I’ll be doing the Cambridge Half Marathon on the 5th of March, The Brighton Marathon (1st one ever) on the 2nd of April and to top it off, I’ll be taking part in the My Wish Charity’s Skydive on the 17th of June this year!
Any monies you donate to this page will go to the Rainbow Ward at West Suffolk Hospital, the reason behind the funds being directed there is because of how well they treated and cared for my little niece Daisy.
During the summer last year Daisy was admitted to The Rainbow Ward at West Suffolk Hospital with a mysterious kidney problem, over the following 6 weeks they treated Daisy along with her Mum & Dad with such kindness and compassion.
She spent a number of weeks staying on the ward, the staff there did everything possible to make Daisy’s stay comfortable. With Daisy being non verbal it was a struggle with her medication and treatment but they strived to make it as stress free and painless for Daisy as possible.
During her stay they worked tirelessly to transfer Daisy to a kidney specialist ward at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham for further treatment and investigation, in conjunction with this they were working out a way to get Daisy’s treatment to a point were Daisy could come home for her birthday of which they achieved!
Both Mum & Dad along with the rest of the family are extremely grateful to the wonderful staff and their relentless work on the Rainbow Ward.
Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
