Story
Nine months ago I decided to get fit. Since then I’ve lost four stone in weight and I am at the fittest I’ve ever been in my life . It’s not been easy but I was determined and for those of you that know me know that I give everything when I set my mind to it .
During these last few months I have taken on many different challenges including numerous 10k runs , Stevenage marathon, several half marathons and several 100 mile sportive cycles such as the Etape Cymru, Wiggle Rut to mention a few
I have decided to put these efforts to good use and raise money for The British Heart Foundation, My aim is to raise £1500 for the charity I have two main events
Cycling Hertford to Paris in 24 hr
On the 14 March 2013 I am leaving Hertford at 17.00 hours and cycling to Dover to get on the 02.20 ferry to Calais and then the long ride to Paris for dinner, this epic journey is 310 miles and must be done within 24 hours. Autocare in Ware, Hoddesdon and Cheshunt have been kind enough to support me in this event and a big thank you to Angelo and Sharon for this. This is an unsupported ride on my own with no back up or safety vehicle.
London Marathon – 21 April 2013
This is the most iconic marathon there is and I have been lucky enough to get a place, Training is going well and I am working hard with a target time of 3 hours 15 minutes!! The local support I have received has been great especially from Buntingford Post office who have supported me, a big thank you to Baz and Co
