Barns Green Half Marathon · 1 November 2009

The Calvert Trust provides people of all ages and all kinds of disability with the opportunity, through its centres in Keswick, Kielder and Exmoor, to participate in all kinds of outdoor activities including riding, sailing, swimming, rock-climbing, canoeing and much else. "It's not what you can't do, but what you can that counts."

Story

Hello.

My name is Tony Poyser and I'm running in the Barns Green Half Marathon on November 1st.

This is a race over 13.1 miles that has been run every year since 1982.   See the website on http://www.barnsgreen-half.org.uk.  By the time I will be running this race I will have run hundreds of miles in training, in hot weather and in cold, and in dry and wet, but now I need your help.

I'm running to raise money for Calvert Trust.  For 30 years Calvert Trust has been enabling people with disabilities, together with their families and friends, to achieve their potential through outdoor adventure activities in the countryside.

Today its three centres welcome over 11,000 visitors each year, helping them challenge disability through outdoor adventure and providing more opportunities to find out that "it's what you CAN do that counts!"

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you.

Tony
