I am running this half marathon to raise funds for Haven House Children's Hospice.

On 1 February this year my good friends Steven & Rachel met their baby boy Isaac Maxwell for the first time.  Unfortunately Isaac was born with an incurable  brain tumour and sadly passed away on 18th February. 

During his short life Isaac, Steven and Rachel received great support from both GOSH and Haven House and by taking part in this half marathon I am hoping to raise as much as I can for Haven House, in order that another family can be given the amazing support that my friends received during their difficult time.

Isaac may have only been with us for a short period, but throughout his journey he didn't give up and it is that inspiration that I am taking into this half marathon with me.

It is not only Haven House and Isaac I will be running for.  Steven & Rachel have between them formed the strongest bond over the last few months to get them through this difficult time and have inspired me with their team effort.  I will be running for them too and I am very proud to be joining Steven on this run along with 6 other friends.
