Story
====
It is Nov 2019 and looking at March 2020. Game on.
====
It is now Sept 2019 ... after all the challenges, changes and travel, back on this to raise the rest to the money and have booked again to climb Kilimanjaro in March 2020. It will happen.
All the donations have already gone to Macmillian - so this is a new push to raise the balance.

the back ground is that as many of you will know, Nicky was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2013. It was a shock diagnosis that turned our world completely upside down.
Fast forward nearly SIX years and Nicky continues to receive support from her Macmillan Cancer Nurse who has made all the difference to her recovery and to our family. The gratefulness to Christina, for her kindness, hope, encouragement, reassurance, patience, calmness, advice, professionalism and always being there whether in the chemo unit, radiotherapy, at a consultant appointment or the end of a phone (day and night!) during those dark days will stay with us forever. Believe us, Christina was/is a life line when we desperately needed one.
To raise much needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support I am climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, later in (2018, 2019 and now 2020 . I have set up this JustGiving page and to ensure that every single penny donated goes to this amazing cause I have paid directly for the challenge/climb itself.
Why Kilimanjaro? A long time ago ……. I climbed a lot and always promised our girls that we would climb Kilimanjaro together. Somehow, I have now been dropped!! Ellie climbed Kili in Spring 2013 and beat me to it and Emilia Pichincha, 2017! Therefore, I am climbing with a group and much more importantly raising awareness and funds for Macmillan Nurses.
Thankfully due to the amazing and professional treatment received from the NHS, Macmillan Cancer Support and South Bucks Hospice,
If after reading this you would like to support Macmillan please use the link below. Any amount given will be gratefully received and every penny donated will go direct to help fund this invaluable lifesaving cause.
A big Thank You from Tony
