Now, I could start by making up a really cheesy story about how great I am and how I just love running SOOO MUCH...miles and miles every week.....but that would definitely be a stretch.

The truth is that running a marathon has been on the ‘ole bucket list for years and needs to get a checkbox. If I was brighter I would have ticked that box about 20 years ago! I can assure you I won’t be running any more or turning into an ultra-marathoner or anything as insane as that.

However, I am running for a great charity called the Sussex Heart Charity (SHC) and my aim is to raise £2,500 for this terrific organisation.

This year, one of the most important projects SHC has underway is trying to raise £100,000 to fund the placement of 70 Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s) at all railway stations in their region. These life saving devices have a direct impact and increase the chances of survival of anyone suffering a cardiac arrest.

You never fully realise when you start these things just how tough training for a marathon is (especially as we all still think we are 21 years old...!); or just how much it takes over your life.

I really appreciate everyone's support and I hope to see some of you along the route on Marathon Day.
