Story

"Challenges are what make life interesting, and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful"

The past couple of years have certainly presented lots of unexpected challenges that together, we will continue to overcome. Since completing the Virtual London Marathon in 2020 around Wirral, I last ran the London Marathon (in London) in 2019 and can't wait to do it again. Returning to the capital to compete in such a fantastic and meaningful event will be emotional which is why the long and early morning runs are so worth while.

I am extremely fortunate to be given another opportunity to run the London Marathon for such a good cause. Hopefully, I will complete the London Marathon again on 2nd October 2022 and my intentions are simple; to complete the course the same day without any injury, to enjoy every second with friends along the way, and of course to raise as much as possible for children who are faced with challenges most of us can only imagine. Sight is a wonderful gift that most of us take for granted!

As always, I am raising money for St Vincent's which is a specialist school for sensory impairment and other needs (www.stvin.com).

This is a small charity (Charity Registration No 1102657) that really appreciates every single donation that is made, regardless of size. Any donation you can afford to make will really make such a big difference to the children of St Vincent's.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, and for any contribution that you can make. I don't do Facebook or other social media, this is probably as 'tech savvy' as it gets for me, so please share this page and information with as many friends as possible.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Please don't forget the Gift Aid option! :-)
