Yes - having recovered from Kilimanjaro I'm clearly a sucker for punishment and have just signed up for my next charity challenge - walking the Inca Trail in October for Girlguiding.

So why Girlguiding?  I've been involved with the charity for a while through their Camp CEO programme (mentoring young women to aim high in their career and lives) and I've been so impressed with the energy, enthusiasm and impact generated by the charity.

Girlguiding gives girls and young women a space where they can be themselves, have fun, build brilliant friendships, gain valuable life skills and make a positive difference to their lives and their communities. They build girls’ confidence and raise their aspirations. They give them the chance to discover their full potential and encourage them to be a powerful force for good.

The charity is for all girls and young women, whatever their background and circumstances, offering fun, exciting activities and the chance to make life-long friends.  It is open to all girls – of all faiths and none.  It is fully integrated to include girls with disabilities, offering grants to ensure that they and their carers can join us on camps and trips.  Girlguiding employ outreach workers to encourage membership in hard-to-reach communities.

Please do give generously - remember I'll be camping and trekking again - no warm bed, hot shower, running water and the rest!  I'm paying for the trip so your entire donation will go to the charity, helping girls achieve their full potential.
