Bathgate Academy has been selected for the 2019 Polar Academy Expedition.  A group of 20 students (all aged between 13-15) have been training since August 2018 prepare all of them for a life-changing experience.  Of the 20 students, 10 will lead an expedition to Arctic Greenland in April 2019 which my darling 15yr old daughter Robyn is part of.  Super proud mama right here. 

The Polar Academy is a charity that relies solely on donations.  Each year the Charity requires £170,000 to operate and here I am doing my bit for the charity by doing a Bungee Swing at Killiecrankie in Perthshire.  This is 40mtrs above the River Garry. My date for the swing is February 9th 2019. 

When the students return, they will embark on a tour of schools and work places in West Lothian.  With new-found confidence and increased self-esteem they will give talks to pupils, parents, teachers and local businesses about their Polar experience, the challenges they faced and how they overcame them. So please donate to a worthy cause. 

I have paid for the swing myself so all money raised goes directly to The Polar Academy.
