Please support sisters Tracy Thomas & Melanie Salsbury on their Zip Wire Challenge at Tower, Hirwuan, Aberdare to raise funds for New Horizons Mental Health Charity (Charity Number: 1153115) a local charity (Cwm Taf Morgannwg – which encompasses Rhondda-Cynon-Taf, Bridgend & Merthyr Tydfil) with over 30 years’ experience of supporting people within the community to find the tools and coping mechanisms to manage their mental health well and lead a more meaningful life.

Our reason for the challenge – In 1999 our world turned upside down when we lost our beloved brother Mark to suicide, the indescribable grief and loss ourselves and our siblings felt was so profound, which we still all continue to feel to this day and always.

So we chose 12th May 2023 as the day for our challenge, the reason we chose this date is that it would have been Mark’s Birthday and we wanted to remember our fun loving brother doing an activity he would have happily participated in himself.

In raising money for New Horizons Mental Health we hope that many in our home town and the wider community will benefit from the support of this great local charity.

Mental Health Awareness Week is from 15th – 21st May 2023 where many charities will be holding events all week, please check out media and support if you can.
