After starting to jog around the block with my running sisters! We took on mini challenges such as 5K and 10K races. Although these seemed like mountains at the time, I eventually worked my way up to half marathon's. I have never fund-raised before but in recent months I have had a more personal reason to do so.

 

Although I know many of us have in one way or the other been affected by Cancer, for myself it has been the loss of my Uncle-in-Law Patrick Tierney and a close friend Peter Hennessy. 

 

In the past year though it hit closer to home when my husband was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer. The importance of Cancer Research became apparent when they were able to successfully remove the tumor and for my husband to make a full recovery.

 

They are making more progress every day and with my help and yours, funding their research, one day there may be a cure. 

 

I hope you can give something it doesn't have to be a lot, every little helps and we are making a difference...
