The Fragile X Society is the only charity dedicated to individuals and families living with Fragile X syndrome - the most common cause of inherited learning disability. We are continually working to improve the quality of life for all people impacted by Fragile X.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For a while Ava and Ella have spoken about donating their hair to the Princess Trust. They’ve been keen to do this in the hope it will help other children who don’t have their own hair. They will hopefully be able to donate about 7 inches each.

As a family we also wanted to take this opportunity to raise awareness of Fragile X syndrome. This is a genetic condition which Jack has. Fragile X syndrome is the most common inherited cause of learning disabilities. This impacts our family life on a daily basis, and also has many implications for our wider family. Both Ava and Ella are aware of Jack’s needs and the extra support he requires. They are patient and understanding with him. We are proud of the caring girls they are growing into, and of the bond shared by all 3.

If you are able donate to the Fragile X Society this would really encourage the girls before they donate their hair in a few weeks.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
