Last week was an lifechanging moment, the ancient piece of woodland was planted with over 4000 trees and hedgerows with the help of a huge team of volunteers and army cadets. Please watch the video on Utube:

July 21

The ceremony for my fathers ashes took place yesterday on 5th July 2021.  A guard of honour from representatives of many organisations in Keighley, with The Lord Lieutenant of Keighley and Major of Keighley in attendance. It was emotional, memorable and fitting for a feisty Yorkshireman. His family grave has been updated by the local stonemason showing an image of him, he loved Yorkshire, I know he requested his last resting place to be near where he was born, he really has returned home. He has made me feel so proud of what he achieved in his last year. I was sad not to be with him more. The people of Yorkshire love him being near them. Lucy x

April 2021

The last year has seen our lives turned upside down.   My father talked to me about our work places changing forever and the impact of this on young people. He like other Grandparents around the world worried about his Grandchildren and what the future holds.

Since my father passed away www.treesfortom.org has been set up until the end of the year to celebrate his life and those who have lost their lives in the Covid 19 outbreak.  If you would like to support one of the two charities you will be supporting his 100 laps last year and helping to mitigate climate change.

The Woodland Trust has identified a piece of woodland that will be associated with my fathers legacy. More information will come in the next few months.

February 2021

Our fathers funeral took place at the weekend Saturday 27th February, a very special day as The British Army pulled out all the stops to give him a great send off;  our family recognise the life lessons that he has left us and we experienced, he was a really special man. His message of "Tomorrow will be a good day" will be remembered forever. He wants his grave to read "I told you I was old"!

We have been asked by friends and family how they can do something other than cards and cut flowers, it was this idea that sparked me to offer "plant trees" in his name.

He was a man of action as everyone knows, and so, in tribute to his life, his achievements and influence; with thoughts of his Grandchildren and everyone's Grandchildren around the world, his message of hope, and that the sun would always shine, we would like to offer the chance to plant a tree with The Woodland Trust.

Thank you

Lucy
