We are a 24 hour search & rescue service to save lives at sea

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the trefor.net JustGiving page. The cash raised here is going to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in the UK. You might have arrived here from the www.trefor.net blog in which case you will know that starting at 6am on Thursday 5 January 2012 we are attempting to set a Guinness World Records® record for the most number of comments on an online news story in 24 hours. You don’t need to be a sponsor to make a comment and the level of cash raised is not associated with the number of comments but it would be great if you could help.

You might care to leave your twitter username, if you have one, in the comments section. If I can keep pace I will personally thank everyone using twitter & the #comment24 hashtag. Otherwise you will get an email J

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now and don't forget to tweet using #comment24 .

RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.
