THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR THEIR DONATIONS AND SUPPORT
Trevor Kingham was a dedicated life long supporter of QPR as well as an enthusiastic fan of local football. Many of you may have known him from his work at the QPR LSA and Maidenhead United.
He was a kind-hearted man, always willing to help others less fortunate than himself and raised monies himself for various charities in his life.
Unfortunately, at the age of 59 he suffered a massive heat attack which caused numerous strokes in his brain leaving him disabled with a severe brain injury.
For the last ten months of his life he lived at The Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability in Putney where, with the help of the team who cared for him, he was given back his mobility, helped to communicate, given back his dignity and his quality of life. The staff at the hospital went beyond the call of duty when it came to caring for Trevor and loved his personality and enthusium for life. He was treated as a person, not a patient.
Sadly due to a medical condition brought on by his brain injury he lost his battle to live on Saturday 20th August 2011.
In memory of Trevor who was loved so dearly and who will be so sadly missed, the family of Trevor have decided to arrange a march to QPR's ground in Loftus Road from The Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability in Putney on the following date: Saturday 15th October 2011, to arrive outside the main entrance of the hospital at 10.30am for a prompt 11.00am start. A march of approximately 4.8miles, to his favourite public house before the start of the match against Blackburn. We would LOVE you to join us and to make a donation which will be put to good use on Wellesley Ward at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disabilty in memory of Trevor. We wish to thank the hospital, in particular Wellesley ward for the amazing care they give to those in their care on behalf of Trevor who always thought of others less fortunate than himself. We thought a march to Loftus Road would be a fitting tribute to honour a man such as Trevor.
