Trevor Eaton Chaucerman

Trevor was the first in his family to get to University - his parents left school aged 14. Having spent 2 miserable years doing National Service in the RAF he was overjoyed to find himself in New College, Oxford and always claimed that his years as an undergraduate were the best of his life and made him who he was. He met my mother whilst studying which probably helped!
He dedicated his life to teaching and encouraged everyone to "take their brain to University and see what happens"! He was always happy to give advice and help with tutoring and mentoring to anyone who asked him. He felt very strongly that higher education should be accessible to everyone from all backgrounds. He would have loved to see this wonderful charity being helped by friends and family donations in memory of him, rather than floral tributes, so if you do remember him fondly please make a small donation. And if any of you did benefit from a University education and can offer time to this wonderful charity as a mentor to the next generation, please think about it!
