Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Rotary-IronmanUK Triathlon Charities will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

This is my second Ironman.  Last year I managed to do the race in 12hrs 40, this year I aim to try harder and go quicker.  Remember, this is just a marathon, except I have to swim and bike the distance from Birmingham first!

Thanks to everyone for their generosity last year; with Gordon Brown's top up we raised almost £2,000.  This year it would be good to raise more.  Feel inspired? Then please sponsor me now!

As an added incentive, please guess an original time in hours, minutes and seconds in the 'comments' box (I hope you won't need days!).  After the event nearest scientific estimation (or guess) will get a grand prize, which will include a bottle of champagne.  The runner up gets a nice bottle of wine.  More details to follow........

Many thanks for your support.

Thank you for your generosity, it really is appreciated.  this year I swam and biked much faster - but ran slower!  I am still woking out who was closest from the emails, sponsorship forms and the text pledges.  Thanks all, it was a tough race but I am still upright.
