Story
Dear all,
As I have now reached the age at which my beloved mum died of breast cancer, and I know how lucky I am still to be here, I would like to mark this year by raising as much money as I can for cancer charities.
I started with a 40 mile sponsored bike ride from Manchester to Liverpool, and completed it in the pouring rain and freezing cold. I'm now aiming to go a bit further with a 53 mile ride from Manchester to Chester, and hoping for better weather this time too!
For me, this is a big challenge because, as anyone who knows me can testify, I am not the fittest person in the world, so every penny raised will spur me on to complete each ride.
In case you haven't donated through JustGiving before, I'd just like to assure you that it is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Please give whatever you feel you can. I'll post the photos afterwards - you'll have a laugh and be able to blackmail me with them by threatening wider publication for the rest of my life!
Trish x
