Just before Christmas 2009 tragedy struck some very close friends of ours; their beautiful baby boy died in his sleep.  Overnight Ben, Amanda and Betsy Banks had their lives turned upside down.

In support of our friends I am running the London 10km, the proceeds going to fsid (Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths).  fsid have been a massive comfort to Ben, Amanda and Betsy over the last 6 months and will continue to be for some time to come.  Their devastation is immense.

As a parent I can’t think of any greater loss one could suffer in life.
