Since 1968, Outside In has transformed thousands of lives by helping to break the cycles of chronic homelessness, poverty, and poor health. Our health clinic and young adult programs strive to provide safe, caring, affirming spaces for our community to receive judgment-free care and support.

Story

The Project Erase Program provides safe, low-cost laser tattoo removal for qualifying applicants.  Tattoo removal can be an important step towards better employment opportunities, increased self-esteem, recovery from trauma, or improved social mobility.

"Removing the tattoos was the last stop on my recovery from traumatic circumstances that led up to them.  It's not just erasing tattoos, it's closing the book on the trauma that came with them" - A Project Erase Client.

Remove the following tattoos...

  • Gang or prison-related
  • Hate-related
  • Drug-related
  • Criminal activity-related
  • Domestic violence-related

The average cost of one treatment to remove a tattoo is $250.00 and it takes between 6 - 8 sessions to complete, which is an average of $2,000.00 (Google)...sometimes the removal takes 12 - 15 sessions / up to $3,750.00.

Project Erase charges between $30.00 - $60.00, per treatment.

Project Erase serves people who fall under 200% of the Federal Poverty Level and whose tattoos align with the program's purpose.  To put this in perspective, $24,120.00 per year for a house of 1 or $32,484.00 for 2, $40,836.00 for 3, $49,200.00 for 4, $57,564.00 for 5.
