Action Challenge Peak District Challenge 2019 · 13 July 2019 to 14 July 2019 ·

The Elizabeth Foundation is a Family Centre with baby, toddler and pre-school sessions for deaf children and their families. We follow the 'Multi Sensory Oral Approach', to develop speech, language and listening skills by using all of the child's senses in a natural, fun, child-centred environment.

Story

This year we will be taking part in the 100km Peak District Challenge in a bid to raise funds for the Elizabeth Foundation. The challenge spans 100km through Derbyshire's peak district and will last 48 hours including a combination of walking, jogging and running!

The Elizabeth Foundation is a charity helping young children to develop listening skills, natural speech, self-esteem and confidence - on a more personal level, have been instrumental in Caela's little sister's development in the years since she was born. Ten years down the line, with a helping hand from the charity in addition to her own magic and determination, she is the most confident, charismatic and loquacious little girl in the world.

We are raising money to ensure that other small children like Millie have the same support and encouragement that has been provided to our family over the years.
