SNOWDONIA CHARITY CHALLENGE 2018 · 9 June 2018 ·

Regain is the only charitable organisation dedicated solely to improving the independence of all British men & women who have become tetraplegic as a result of a sporting or leisure accident. A tetraplegic is unable to walk and has limited reach & dexterity because use of the arms is severely impaired.

Story

One day, four mums were sharing some wine and deciding it wasn't challenging enough to have full time jobs, ten children between us and rapidly accelerating to the peak of our midlife crisis. So we decided to push the boat out and see how far we could challenge our limits: Limits of physical fitness, limits of guts and glory, limits of scheduling to squeeze in exercise routines and limits of our humour. Probably.

And what better way than to make this not solely about our hormones but to use this opportunity to raise money for those people, who through unfortunate circumstances, can't as easily decided over a bottle of wine that its time to dust off their cycling shorts.

So we promise to put down our blood, sweat and tears on that 40 mile bike ride, small amble up Snowdon and paddle across a lake... and ask that you help us support Regain - a charity set up to help sport tetraplegics.

Thank you!

Claire, Lyssa, Adrienne and Sarah
