Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have found this local charity during my weekend jogging last December and I have offered my help during this pandemic. I have covered some shifts during Christmas while the students were off for their holiday. The charity heavily dependent on donations and on commercial riders fees but due to Covid they couldn't open for the public for over 18 months therefore they really need every little help to feed these once abused and abandoned, but now in good hands beautiful horses, ponies and donkeys.

"The Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre is a small riding school based in West London. It is a charity for children & young people with special needs & disabilities. We have 17 horses/ponies & 5 of them have been at the centre for over 20 years. There are several in their twenties & 2 in their mid thirties. All the horses & ponies work very hard. They have one day a week off & a long break out at grass in the summer holidays. There is no grazing at the centre & therefore they rely entirely on the food that is given them in their stables.

I would like to say that each horse/pony is in excellent health and this is helped by the Simple System forage diet that we feed. Their diet consist of PuraBeet, LucieNuts, Blue Bag Grass Pellets & LucieCobs. They are also fed Meadow hay. "
