Thanks for visiting the Bird & Bird Race to the Stones team page!
On Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 July, a team from across our London office will be heading to the Chilterns to take part in the Race to the Stones, raising money for our Charity Partner, the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
The 100km route takes participants – some runners, some walkers - along the Ridgeway from the M40 to the Avebury Stone Circle in Wiltshire, taking in the sights of the Thames and the Wessex Downs along the way.
Some team members will be completing the route in one go walking through the night, while others will take a break at the 50km mark overnight and continue on the way the following day.
The team includes: Peter Willis, Nick Vanson, Richard Vary, Jessica Mackenzie, Jenny Dumbleton, Thomas Pugh, Georgia Lee, Ariane Le Strat, Christine Somers, Kim Addison, Edward Davenport, Ben Doran, Georgie Hart, Kate Humphreys, Nick Green, Katharine Stephens, Jane Goodacre and Simon Phippard, together with recent leaver Olivia Dunnett, and Adrian Howes, a former Bird & Bird IP lawyer, now in-house at Nokia.
The team is hoping to reach a target of £6000, and would be grateful for any donations!
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function. Currently, half of those with CF will not live past age 41.The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
