Sindhupalchok Flood Relief

IAN SMART is raising money for UNCLE

Sindhupalchok Flood Relief · 18 June 2021

UNCLE supports the Hope for Children and Trinity orphanages in Nepal. This is our 13th year in operation as a charity, needing to raise over £20,000 a year to support the children and their carers. In addition we have raised over £70,000 to rebuild one of the orphanages.

Story

David Prasain of the Himalayan Hope Church contacted me to tell me about the floods in Sindhupalchok. I had not seen anything about this on the British Media as other stories are given more precedence. The film that he shared showed terrible floods and houses washed away.

Since then Dev Chhetri of the Glorious Ministry Church has shared about a church he knows of that has been entirely buried in mud, as in some places the flood waters have risen so high that valleys have been filled in.

We have been asked at UNCLE if we could provide blankets and Mosquito nets for the people who have lost everything. Food is getting in to some people we understand, but the more we can raise the more we can help people who have lost everything.

Anything you can give will go straight to help these people and make a difference. Thank you.
