Certitude's Uneeda Drive Garden Project

Uneeda Drive Garden Project · 10 August 2018
Certitude supports people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health support needs, as well as their families, to live the life they want to lead: happy, healthy, respected as equals and valued for their contribution within communities.
Uneeda Drive in Greenford is home to three men who enjoy gardening, keeping fit and enjoying a busy life together in West London. The house has a good sized garden with an outbuilding at the end, here’s how it looks right now.
Through discussions with people we support and observations of how the space is used, we’re embarking on a project to redesign the garden, you can see our plans here.
We're going to build a space that’s more accessible and inviting for people we support, with different areas for exercise, relaxation and area to use for hosting parties; building social networks and connections to the wider community in Greenford. Co-designed with people we support and installed with the help of local volunteers, this project is an opportunity to make a tangible difference to the lives of local people.
