Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!

We are a team of six students from the University of Birmingham who are raising money for childhood cancer research at our university which aims to combat the disease and improve the lives of those who survive. 100% of all money raised goes towards the research, so every donation counts. We are working together to raise £1500 and beyond and have been pitted against the University of Nottingham to see who can raise the most money! All in good fun of course!

Dr Frank Mussai's research involves investigating the links between adult and childhood cancers and the immune system, and focuses on blood cancers such as acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) and solid cancers like neuroblastoma - two of the most common and hardest to treat childhood cancers. This research cannot happen without the donations and support from people like you. Please have a look at the page online which explains the research in more detail: http://www.birmingham.ac.uk/alumni/Giving/Health-and-medical-research/Childhood-cancer.aspx

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
