As some of you may be aware, I have been fortunate enough to visit The Gambia with the Humanity First team in the last two years and really saw what a huge difference our minor contributions can make. I am travelling in November 2018 for the third time to our mission can continue. Our project is multi-faceted ranging from education and training to providing preventative and operative care, based in the schools, wider community as well as hospitals.

Through our project, our team has been able to serve the local population by performing 120 life-changing surgeries, assessing and treating over 2300 school children for dental care and delivering over 110 lectures and workshops. In addition, our team has donated thousands of pounds worth of medical and dental equipment. The Polyclinic, the children surgical ward and the dental laboratory based at the main hospital in Banjul have also been renovated.

Another special element of our project is being able to look after children with learning difficulties based at Hart House school. We will be revisiting Hart House and aim to add another children's nursery to our itinerary.
