Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My husband, L/Cpl James Bateman PARA, was the 101st British soldier to be killed in action in Afghanistan and so Remembrance is a time of year that is very special for me.

So in order to have a purpose at this emotive time of year, for not just families like mine but also those who have served and those who support our Armed Forces, I will be walking 11 miles on 11th November across London that takes in at least 47 war memorials along the way with friends and colleagues from the Armed Forces Network.  Some of us will be completing the walk with 15kgs weight which is about the standard weight used for TABs in the Armed Forces.

Our team includes Victoria Loaiza-Bateman (CBRE), Kylie Groves (MOD), Elle Hunt (CBRE), Dom Collins (CBRE), Russ Forsdick (CBRE GWS), Ed Elliott (CBRE), Ian Shaw (CBRE GWS), Steve Smith (CBRE), Denis Yeoman (CBRE GWS), Mandy Yeoman, Peter Smyth (CBRE), Sean Chapman (CBRE), Ben Punter (CBRE GWS), Simon Raven (CBRE GWS), Tony Clarke (CBRE GWS), Tudor Pope (CBRE), Dwayne Grizzle (CBRE), Ian Wilson (CBRE GWS), Ian Wilson Sr, Siobhan Roarty (CBRE), Marisa Ribeiro (CBRE), Kirstie Paton (CBRE), John Coyne (CBRE), Lily Weafer (CBRE), David Rankin (CBRE).
