End of life is without doubt a special time, usually sad, very emotive. As a hospice nurse I consider it a privilege to be with patients ,their families and friends on their final journey. Most , if not all patients find that journey challenging. 

I am taking up my own challenge, trekking across a small remote section of the Great Wall of China. This challenge is minuscule in comparison to the challenges some of my patients face. 

I am funding the cost of the trip myself, any donations will go directly to the hospice.
