Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
After losing Dad in February of this year, we've been thinking of ways we could raise money for the East Cheshire Hospice in Macclesfield, where he received his end-of-life care. The invaluable support and comfort they provided during Dad's final days will never be forgotten, so we have decided to set up this page in order to give something back.
East Cheshire Hospice receives only 20% of their costs from the government, relying heavily on fundraisers and donations to cover the exceptional level of care they offer.
We felt that the worse the experience, the more likely it would be that people would take notice and donate, so we've decided to scare the hell out of ourselves by jumping out of a plane when we are travelling New Zealand in September.
We don't have a specific date in September confirmed yet, as we can only book the experience a few days in advance; we don't yet know when we will be in Taupo, but will update the page with further news closer to the time.
Dad would be turning in his grave at this decision (if he had one!) but we're also sure he'd be pleased that we're raising money for such a good cause.
