Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Friends,
A close friend of mine John Hart who I know through football and general village life father Roger Hart sadly died on the 19th April after losing his battle against cancer aged 72, during his illness and especially in the final days the support that Macmillan and Cancer research gave Roger and his family was amazing, so amazing that it has got me to get off my fat arse to do something to try and help beat cancer.
Roger and the Hart family (tribe) have given substantial time supporting Shardlow (my village) local causes he was a school governor, supported parish council, village hall and local drama group to name a few and Johns family has continued supporting the village in many ways ,but one of Rogers wishes he never fulfilled was to bike ride the and
So in his memory and to recognise the Charitys fantastic work, John Hart and 20 close village friends are planning for charity to bike the 100 miles over the weekend of the 18th – 20th June 2010 and proceeds will be split between two charity’s Cancer Research & Macmillan.
The Bike ride after 100 or so miles will end up in a pub (thats my target and more my style) at Shardlow (walking distance from my house) on fathers day.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Massive thanks !
Vance
