Story

Event: Vasculitis UK Charity Day at Newton Hall, 2 High Street, Rushden, Northamptonshire
When: 9am until 5pm on Saturday 1st October 2016

Newton Hall will be holding its first Charity Day on Saturday 1st October 2016 in aid of Vasculitis UK.

At the age of 17, Chloe Wordingham, who worked in Mrs B's and is the daughter of one of the permanent stall holders in Newton Hall was diagnosed with a form of Vasculitis in June 2015. Chloe spent almost 14 weeks in hospital and has been unable to work since, spending most of her time in a wheelchair.

Chloe had been selected to represent England in lawn bowls at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa in September 2015. She had also been selected to represent England at the Under 25 International Series in Scotland. Unfortunately, the illness affected Chloe so badly that she was unable to compete in either of these events and has still not been able to bowl since the diagnosis.

A number of activities on the day will feature face painting, raffles and tombola. There will also be a Vasculitis UK table highlighting awareness of the disease.

In addition to the above, a donation table has been housed at Newton Hall for the past few weeks, with donations reaching £600 following the sale of items that have been donated or monetary donations.

If you would like to donate any items to raise money for this event, please contact Mark on 07954179299 or email mark.wordingham444@ntlworld.com.

Thank you all for your anticipated support.
