We empower people at their toughest point to turn their life around.

Story

On the 7th July, just 3 days before I almost enter my seventh decade of life, Ed and I are competing in the Newmarket Town Plate. This is a gruelling endurance race of 3m 6f for which our delightful steeds will be doing the majority of the work. I will be risking my 100% record on the racecourse and Ed will be attempting to pull his stirrups up and look stylish on a racecourse for the first time in his eventful racing career. Mother and son have never competed against each other before, and this is sure to settle the situation once and for all.

The Rehabilitation of Addicted Prisoners Trust has a residential Unit for men in Hull which is doing a fantastic job getting 'clients' to kick their addictions and rebuild their lives.

King Charles II founded racing at Newmarket and we are trying to raise £40,000 so that a statue of him can be erected at the entrance to the racecourse to mark the 350 years of racing in this historic town.
