Story
Hi everyone
I am cycling from London to Paris in June (24-27th). It's 300 miles in total so not the most direct route but hey. I am doing it for a personal challenge & I also want to fundraise for the Stroke Association.
Most of us know someone who has had a stroke & know how devastating it can be. The Stroke Association is the only UK wide charity solely concerned with combating stroke in people of all ages. They fund research into prevention, treatment and better methods of rehabilitation. They also help stroke patients and their families directly through its Life After Stroke Services & they act as a voice for everyone affected by stroke.

Regarding the personal challenge: I cycled throughout school & university but haven't cycled in the past 12 years apart from an occasional few hours here & there on holiday. Last October I bought a new bicycle - photo above is me trying it out for the first time. So I'm making up for lost time. I've been out on my bike since January getting used to clip on pedals, falling off & convincing myself that hills are no big deal really - all in the mind!
