We train amazing hearing dogs to transform the lives of deaf people

Story

As the Volunteering Manager at Hearing Dogs I see our amazing volunteer family doing incredible, extremely generous and challenging things every day. I've also cheered on the London Marathon sidelines most of my adult life, so I guess it's long overdue for me to step up and join in.

I was doing really well with my training until the heatwave kicked in, I became addicted to Love Island and this unbelievably brilliant World Cup filled every evening and my weekends too.

50 miles is about my limit to date, though I've done a 60. Once. On the flat. Suffice as to say 100 miles is waaaaaay beyond my current capabilities and the calendar has just flicked over to July. I'm bricking it.

Hearing Dogs would be thrilled with any donations and I'd be really touched too.

Thanks and please don't mention Box Hill, Vic, x.

About the charity

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People trains dogs to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds such as the smoke alarm, alarm clock, intruder alarms and baby monitors. These amazing dogs also help deaf people to leave loneliness behind by providing love, companionship and emotional support.
