Greetings! So, haha, yes, Antonia and I are cycling to Paris....who's good idea was that?! (*cough*antonia*cough*)

But we're all signed up now and it's going to be something of an adventure, which we'll be charting for your amusement on our website (get us eh?!), the antics of the Plumbridge Pedalers as we've named ourselves (our house being on Plumbridge Street).

The more sensible amongst you might be asking why, why are we doing this? Why are we going to be putting our rears and legs through such agony? For charity of course! More specifically for the mental health charity Mind (bias? moi?).

The chances are I will have nattered at you about Mind/mental health at some point or other, but in case I haven't (or you weren't paying attention) I give you Mind in a nutshell

If you haven't had mental health problems then you DO know someone who has: 1 in 4 people experience mental distress every year, whether it's stress or mild anxiety and depression or something more severe, like bipolar disorder.

Mind, if you ask us, is the bestest mental health charity. In the public eye it raises awareness of mental health issues and provides information, advice and support for anyone who needs it. Behind the scenes it campaigns it's @rse off to ensure people whose lives have been affected by mental health issues are heard and their views respected.

For better mental health, that's what they say. We'll pedal for that.
