On July 14th I will be running the 22km from Monkey Mia to Little Lagoon, in memory of my Nan, Patricia Loveys, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

My Nan was one of the most important people in my life, and when she sadly died in January 2006, after a long battle with cancer, I lost a best friend. She was the most caring person you could ever meet - absolutely bursting with love. She could put a smile on the most miserable of faces in a heartbeat! It's a huge loss to the family without her here. I know all families have gone through similar losses, so I am raising money for this charity to help their continual care and support for those suffering with the disease, as well as keep my Nan's memory alive!

There's a bit of a running joke here in Monkey Mia about the time I attempted to walk home from Denham after a wild wednesday in the pub....and only made it as far as Little Lagoon! So now I'm completing the journey (in reverse - Monkey Mia to Little Lagoon) but going to (try my very best to!) run the whole way.I've never run before because I HATE it, so it's going to be a big challenge. I hope you can give generously for this very worthy cause, but every little helps too!

I've drawn up a training programme and going to be working very hard to get fit. Depending on how it all goes, I may bring the date of the run forward or back. Will keep you updated.
