Women are still getting breast cancer and dying from it. That’s why Breast Cancer Campaign and Breakthrough Breast Cancer have joined forces to become the UK’s largest dedicated breast cancer research charity. And with your help, together we can put an end to breast cancer, once and for all.

Story

Hi, I’m Vix and I’m raising money for Breast Cancer Campaign. My small contribution to fight this horrible disease is to raise money by running my first ever (Yorkshire) marathon. The determination and drive I have put into this event has made me even more focused to raise £300 for the vital work this charity delivers.

I lost my Mum to breast cancer when I was just 20. Back then cancer was always something that happened to someone else’s family, but unfortunately it did happen to us with an unhappy ending. To help continue research in an effort to eradicate this disease please give as much as you can (even if it’s only a fiver!) Or if you prefer to show you support in a more vocal way, come down on the day and cheer me on – trust me ill need it! :)

Running the marathon is the toughest challenge I have faced to date, but nothing in comparison to what my Mum had to go through. So ‘this one’s for you Mum’!
