Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

More and more cancer impacts our lives, often it passes us by until that harrowing moment when it happens to someone close to you and worse takes them from us.

This year (May) my aunt Veronica passed away. No matter how hard times became Veronica was full of life, fun, laughter and strength. She is an inspiration to us all.

Her last week was spent at St Richard’s Hospice in Worcester and I can’t thank them enough for their wonderful care, making those last days so comfortable for her. Alongside the expert care the hospice allows families to visit 24/7 where they can make the most of the time they have left together. You can only imagine how precious this is.

St Richard’s Hospice is a charity and has to raise huge amounts every year to be able to continue to offer such a service. This year they need to raise £6.1 million.

I would love it if you could help me help St Richard’s hospice with their massive challenge in memory of Veronica and for all those families that will need to go to St Richard’s in the future.

As part of this I have entered a couple of sporting events this year, some that I have not done before that will be tough mentally and physically - especially as I have a fear of open water!! The events are the Henley Swim, Marlow Triathlon and the Amsterdam Marathon. I would like to combine this with fundraising for St Richard’s Hospice and very much hope you will join me on this journey by donating, no matter how big or small, every penny counts!
