Miles for Micah · 31 July 2021

Micah Liverpool is a social justice charity that aims to relieve Liverpool residents from social injustice and poverty. We are currently running projects to combat unemployment and deliver emergency food aid and affordable food.

Story

The past 18 months has been tricky for everyone in many different ways. Having always worked closely surrounded by my team, facing 6 weeks of working from home (although incredibly privileged to do so) was pretty scary so I started running. Having never ran further than a couple of 5k’s a week before this, I challenged myself to run 5k a day for six weeks from January. Through snow and sleet and rain I did it… and kept going. Since then I have ran my first competitive half marathon (and thankfully didn’t come last) and have made it to 900 miles. So… I decided to go for 1000 miles and try to raise £1000 in the process for a fantastic charity that does so much for social justice, equality and emergency support for those who need it in Liverpool, where I am proud to call home. If you can, please donate. Micah makes a real difference to people’s lives.
