Make your Resolution Run count and help the Stroke Association provide support for people affected by stroke throughout the UK

Story

Having let my younger brother coerce* me into running a 10k with him in 2018, we'd now like to ask for your generous sponsorship. All donations are going to our chosen charity, The Stroke Association.

We've picked this great charity in part because our Grandma suffered a stroke back in June 2015. We were fortunate in that she made a pretty good recovery and were able to enjoy her excellent company for another two years after that, and raising money for the Stroke Association will hopefully help them to carry on their great work:

  • funding research into better stroke treatments
  • campaigning for better stroke care
  • educating people about the warning signs of stroke

Around 100,000 strokes happen in the UK each year (around one every five minutes). You are now twice as likely to survive a stroke compared to 20 years ago - but stroke is still the fourth single largest cause of death in the UK. The Stroke Association is working to change this, and that's why we're running for them this March.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Any support is greatly appreciated by Sam and myself - thank you!

PS - Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your donation goes directly to the Stroke Association. And last but not least, if you're a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the gift aid option!

*only joking, mostly.
