We're hoping to raise £750 on behalf of Diabetes UK, after our Grandma and Dad were diagnosed. Both Type 1 and Type 2 are serious with their own risks and complications.
Since her diagnosis, our Grandma has had a few scares, including a transient ischaemic attack (aka mini stroke), which was linked back to being diabetic.
Type 2 diabetes can be controlled by diet, but if it gets worse, it can affect every organ in your body.
Diabetes links to complications including heart attacks, strokes, kidney disease, blindness and amputations. Too many people are being diagnosed and we want to help as much as we can.
Diabetes UK invests in ground-breaking research and helps people to live a normal and happy life with the condition. They do incredible work from campaigning to improve the lives of people with diabetes, to providing local talks to support those living with diabetes.
It would mean a lot to us if you help us reach our target. Thanks in advance for all your support
