We tackle poverty with practical assistance to fight disadvantage

Story

Every week, the St.Vincent de Paul Society (SVP) feeds around 180 people at Vinnie's drop in cafe located in Blackfriars Community Centre, Newcastle, on the city end of Byker Bridge. They are provided with a free three-course meal, a friendly welcome, a warm place to be and company. Please attend for many reasons. Some are street homeless or living in hostels, whilst others are on low income or isolated and in need of company. Whatever their reason, all are welcome.

All meals that are served at Vinnie's are made from food donations we receive, your Just Giving donation can really help to make a difference to people in need. As well as free hot meals and refreshments, we are also able to provide food parcels from our food bank, clothing, toiletries, sleeping bags and blankets.
