Story
Many thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I will be cycling in this years London-Surrey 100 mile bike ride on Sunday 31st July 2016 in memory of a much loved son, husband, father/grandfather, brother, friend and uncle. I shall be cycling on behalf of Myeloma UK, the charity that supported our uncle Vinod throughout his battle with Myeloma.
Our uncle, who we fondly remember as 'Vinny' was loved by us all. He was fun-loving, always smiling, the life and soul of a party, a great uncle and most of all a great friend. In his all too brief 50 years he touched the hearts of all who knew him through community work, sports and play. He was a ray of sunshine in our family and an integral part of all our lives. For the past 18 months he has fought the rare bone marrow cancer Myeloma with great dignity and courage and kept smiling right up until the very end. His silent determination and bravery will always stay with us.
I am therefore cycling the London-Surrey 100 in our uncles memory and to raise much needed funds and awareness of the work and research carried out by Myeloma UK. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all all the carers, nurses, consultants and family members who supported our uncle throughout his courageous fight with Myeloma right until the very end. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
Thank you for taking the time to read my page.
