This July will be the third anniversary of losing Luke. Luke had Dandy Walker Variant and his brain never developed properly. We discovered his problems at our 20 week scan. As the weeks passed and we agonised with the information we had been given we hoped against hope that the scans would reveal an improvement, but they never did. We let him go at 30 weeks and struggled to cope.

Although the care we received at Queen Charlotte's was excellent, we regret that we were never put in touch with ARC - Ante-Natal Results and Choices. ARC counsels bereaved parents and those who have to make difficult choices. We found them after the event and their support was healing and rejuvenating. Finally a safe place, where what we had gone through was understood. We are indebted to them for helping us pick up the pieces, as they do for so many people.

ARC is not a charity that receives much publicity and they need our support and yours. We are holding a fund-raising BBQ at home from noon on Saturday 3rd July. Please come and join us. There will be information on ARC and a donation box.
