Raising money to help provide dental care to children in Tamil Nadu, India

Tamil Nadu Dental Camp · 25 July 2016
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am currently studying BSc Oral Health Sciences at the The University of Highlands and Islands, Inverness, working towards my degree as a Dental Therapist/Hygienist.
This summer I will be travelling to Tamil Nadu in Southern India to take part in an ART (Atraumatic Restorative Treatment) volunteer dental camp with The Schoolhouse Project, a non-profit charitable organisation who have been providing aid in Asia since 2007. Many children and adults in this community have little access to dental care, which I feel we take for granted in Britain.
With your donations I will be able to help and support the local communities in Batlagunda and Kodaikanal by providing basic screening and various dental treatments including fillings, scaling and extractions and providing dental education using my learnt skills to help minimise and prevent future dental pain and problems.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain life long dental experience and I would appreciate any donations, as little as they may be, for this great cause so that the children of this region get the much needed dental care they deserve. The money raised goes directly towards the dental camp costs, dental materials, equipment and of course The Schoolhouse Volunteering Trust, who work relentlessly to help improve the lives of children across Asia.
