Colleagues, friends and family - 16 weeks ago I signed up to do the Miffy & Friends cycle challenge, a 4 day cycle from London to Utrecht in Holland. A long standing desire to raise money for a good cause, as well as a waistline that could not cope with expanding any further, led me to set myself this seriously ambitious challenge! 

For most people with a degree of fitness, the thought of cycling 300 miles over 4 days is daunting and for me, until getting on a road bike 12 weeks ago, it was almost unthinkable. However hours and many miles of training have led to the 2 weeks to go mark and I am both excited and confident in joining industry collesgues and friends on this great adventure to raise money for The Light Fund.

Set up over 10 years ago, Light Fund is an umbrella charity for the Licensing Industry and it has now raised in excess of £700,000 for several worthy causes (click on link below). Having attended many Light Fund events over the years, contributing only from the side lines, I am so delighted to be part of something that will be both memorable  and hopefully life changing for the charities benefitting from the money I raise....and also for me!
