The West Highland Way - CEREBRA
A 6 day 100 mile walk across the highlands in aid of charities for disabled children by Neil Mayo & Kewel Ram starting 31/03/07.
Thank you for visiting the West Highland Way fundraising page for CEREBRA, if you wish to donate to SCOPE or FRODO, please use the following links: www.justgiving.com/WHW-Scope. www.justgiving.com/WHW-Frodo. or type ‘Neil Mayo’ into the “Sponsor a friend” search on the homepage.
From Neil & Iona Mayo: Our daughter, Amy, sustained massive brain damage during birth on 13/08/03 as a result of clinical negligence by an NHS hospital. After being assessed as having just hours to live, Amy spent the next 7 weeks in intensive care and 7 months later she came home from hospital. Amy has been described by experts as being amongst the most disabled of children with the severest form of Cerebral Palsy. Amy leads as full and happy a life as possible given the extreme challenges she faces and despite being diagnosed as blind, deaf, quadriplegic, unable to feed and swallow, epileptic and prone to spasms. Amy benefits from a loving and devoted family and the very best care, medical treatment, schooling, equipment and accommodation possible. Some children like Amy, and some other families, are not so fortunate so please dig deep and sponsor the walk online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Foundation for the Relief of Disabled Orphans will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support
