Story
My reason for supporting Waterford hardly maters. What matters is your reason. Maybe:
- You formed deep friendships with wonderful people there
- You believe in educating Africa's best to be future teachers, community organizers, ethical business people, doctors, artists, world leaders, anti-corruption crusaders, citizens, etc.
- You know that every year Waterford provides dozens of full bursaries (scholarships) to students who would otherwise never get a quality education, and that these bursaries depend on outside support
- You still remember all-night games of Risk and Hearts, or sneaking down the hill for mischief...and the memory feels good
- You received financial support when at Waterford and are (finally) ready to do your bit to support others
- You've never needed financial support and helping others feels right
- You are thinking, "hey, if I forego one beer and/or coffee this week, I can actually do some good!"
- You'll give to get me and others off your back/conscience
Whatever your reason--and no matter how many other great causes you support (your family included)--please take a moment to give to Waterford. Give what you can, and what feels right. If you can't give even ZAR50, no worries. Please just reach out to two WK friends, say hi, relive some memories, and encourage them to give. It all helps.
Collectively, we can help Waterford earn a $1 million match from philanthropist Shelby Davis. In all likelihood, whatever you give will be quadrupled! So make it count.
Drop me a line. I'd love to hear form you. And thanks for helping out.
